Constitution of the International Yoga Committee (IYC)
Object 1 Organization and Name
The International Yoga Committee (IYC) , abbreviated as IYC, is a non-governmental, non-profit, self-governing yoga organization, which is registered in India.
Object 2 Origins and Status
2.1 The International Yoga Committee (IYC) is the non-profit international membership organization for the yoga community, and is open to all yoga institutions, universities, yoga authorities, and individuals.
2.2 IYC has a partner status with International Non-Olympic Committee-INOC, International Non-Olympic University-INOU, World Council for Regular and Distance Education-WCRDE, International Student Exchange Cards India Limited. IYC main aim is to promote yoga asanas throughout the world and work for peace.
2.3 IYC was founded in 2016 in India by Dr. Mohamed Seraj ANSARI and it has official managed and run by International Non-Olympic Committee.
2.4 IYC is supporting all Government systems, norms and regulations and code of ethics.
Object 3 Mission and Aims
3.1 To promote Yoga Education internationally and take whatever measures are necessary to this end.
3.2 To represent the interests of its members at International level with regard to the authorities, other educational Committees, the mass media and the public, in as far as this is not left up to the members.
3.3 To promote educational contact between all Universities, Yoga institutions, Yoga authorities, and individuals and to promote yoga, yoga championship, international/national conferences etc.
3.4 IYC will support all country rules and regulation based on the requirement.
3.5 To encourage all yoga individuals, Universities, educational institutions, educational authorities, and yoga institutions can connect in professional communication in the field of flexible yoga sport.
Object 4 Membership
4.1 There shall be one types of national membership Approval.
4.2 IYC Approval membership shall be available in two categories, Higher Income Level and Lower Income Level, to those engaged in yoga training throughout the world.
4.3 All membership may be awarded, by decision of the Executive Committee.
4.4 IYC Committee (President & General Secretary) will have rights to cancel the membership at any time.
4.5 IYC membership rights shall be open to all but those who are in good standing with the organization.
4.6 Membership fees shall be resolute by the Executive Committee and are not refundable.
4.7 Individual Approval membership may be offered by the Executive Committee who is engaged in or connected with Yoga Education.
Object 5 The Organization’s Business Structures
5.1 IYC’s structures as follows

Member Brand Ambassadors (MBA)
5.1. Members
5.2 Meetings of the bodies may take place face-to-face or electronically.
5.3 The results and decisions of meetings of the bodies shall be published within 25 working days
5.4 IYC will not provide any financial support for members (MBA).
5.5 The President and Secretary General, Director General will take part in all meetings of the bodies.
5.6 Executive Committee appointment will be decided by President and Secretary General.
5.7 Members (MBA) would be most important and direct representatives of the IYC in the country of Members (MBA) are belongs.
5.8 IYC can recommend Members (MBA) to INOC to nominate/adsorb into Executive Committee-IYC or any other INOC allies bodies on the basis of performance and execution of works assigned time to time by the IYC.
Object 6 The National Member (NM)
6.1 IYC is committed to being an open organization where everyone's voice is heard.
6.2 Because we wanted to be open to anyone in the world – we launched a new initiative called 'National Members' in 2016. This enabled people (professors, tecturers, teachers, students, educational organizations etc., who did not have an opportunity to represent and explore their ability internationally and unable to join in and become a member of IYC regardless of where they lived Part a) So what's happening now?
6.3 From 2016, a representative of National members - selected amongst the international membership - will contribute their expertise to our internal decision making process. As you may know, IYC makes its internal decisions in a democratic way, and your representation will now be able to play a part in this process by participating in key internal conferences.
Object 7 The Executive Committee
Part a) Role, Responsibilities, Structure
7.1 INOC First Founder Member is the accountable for making policy
decisions in conflict with IYC’s mission and constitution.
7.2 The responsibilities of the Executive Committee shall have good
relation with IYC.
7.3 The role of the Executive committee members usually serve as on
a Voluntary basis which helps to IYC development and have a responsibility
of appointment approvals.
7.4 An member (MBA) plays an important role in developing IYC globally. This role may be compromised all ambassadors do not follow certain rules that should guide their conduct during their mission and (MBA) Observers must not interfere with the work of Executive committee. Their mandate is not to supervise correct mistakes or resolve local conflicts, but to observe.
7.5 The IYC Executive committee shall be consist of six designated members.
Part b) Appointment Procedure
7.5 Executive Committee/Member Brand Ambassadors appointment
shall be decided by INOC First Founder Member.
7.6 The President, Secretary General, Director General shall be permanent members.
Object 8 Announcements with Members
8.1 IYC’s all Information/Announcement shall be displayed in website.
Object 9 Changes to the Constitution
9.1 A proposal/membership must be submitted to the Secretary General. Secretary General will submit to president. The proposal may be made by a Member or institutional member or by an individual member.
9 .2 A proposal made by the Executive Committee must be supported by president.
9 .3 A proposal to amend the constitution shall be announced to IYC members within two months of its receipt by the President/Secretary General. On the advice of the President, the Secretary General shall publish to members.
9.4 Changes to the constitution shall require the support of a simple majority of all voting members of IYC. Every amendment would be sent INOC or its First Founder Member to get approval, on rejection of approval of the amendment made by the INOC or First Founder Member, would be re-discussed in the house of the Executive Committee.
9.5 Information on the result of the voting procedure shall be made available to IYC members within 10 days of the declared voting period.
9.6 Approved changes shall be updated in the website.
9.7 INOC has full rights to change any clauses of the IYC at any time, and would be effective from the date of the issued officially with no objection or question of the Executive Committee or members (FFM).
Object 10 Dissolution of the Council
10.1 The Council can only be dissolved by an INOC First Founder Member.
10.2 A decision process on will be undertaken by president/INOC First Founder Member.
